Return of Fallen Lords

Return of Fallen Lords was my favorite game project I did at DigiPen. It was a lot of fun to work on with a relatively large team (sixteen people of varying degrees of dedication). I joined this team a networking programmer with the intent that it was going to be a very limited scope game in the style of a MOBA (League of Legends, Dota), but when the graphics programmer had to quit for personal reasons, I took over. The game pivoted to a dual-stick wave based shooter where you tried to construct a tower. I learned a lot on this project and it was my first time writing graphics code that was used by other people. My biggest takeaway from this project was learning to collect all features requested of my part of the code and implement them in priority. I am happy to say that I was able to get every requested (plus some personal fun!) graphics feature implemented, using DirectX 9. I learned a lot about particle systems and post-processing during this project.
